Assisting the warehouse manager in directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including scheduling labor, supervision and proper use of space, equipment and manpower. 
Supports the efforts for driving continuous improvement while communicating distribution activities including budget performance, metrics, status of key projects and efforts to create a culture of a high performing work teams. 
In the Branches, the assistant manager's main responsibility usually is leading a department such as dispatch or will call along with the following.
  • Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, which include receiving, stowing, pulling, shipping, sanitation, safety, stock rotation, product security, maintenance and special projects. 
  • Maintain constant communication with the associates and supervisors on all shifts so that needed information is passed in order to accomplish daily tasks and goals. 
  • Monitor the quality of service provided to our customers by maintaining and reviewing error-tracking reports. 
  • Promote safety through regularly scheduled meetings, through equipment and product handling training, providing safe and efficient equipment, and consistently enforcing safety procedures and policies. 
  • Coordinate and manage account move-ins & move-outs, product destruction as needed, physical inventories, month ends, quarter ends and year ends.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy at all times. 
  • Working in heights up to 3 feet 
  • Lifting 50 pounds to shoulder level
  • High School Education or Equivalent. 
  • Previous leadership and warehouse experience preferred. 
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language, Understanding MAP Locations, Sorting by alpha or numeric. 
  • Operation of PIE (Powered Industrial Equipment),  
  • Experience with RF/Scan Guns, SAP Experience Preferred
  • Mathematical & Reasoning Skills
