Training & OD Specialist

Job Description

Summary:
 

The Training & OD Specialist will provide training support and project management for training related activities including instructor-led, web-based training and blended learning solutions from inception to implementation (planning, research, analysis, design, development, communication, evaluation and ongoing maintenance). In addition, this individual will serve in a project management capacity including, but not limited to, project administration and reporting, resource management, stakeholder management, project budgeting, project planning and communications. Perform other duties as assigned.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop training and all materials needed, which could include: facilitator guide, participant guide, job aid, web-based training course/curriculum
  • Identify the needs of target audiences, develop appropriate training deliverables, integrate these needs into the end-product and manage the implementation of those training deliverables

  • Obtain content and alignment of projects and tasks from stakeholders and subject matter experts

  • Work with Training and Development Advisors to analyze performance results, identify strengths or gaps in performance and recommend training-based solutions as needed

  • Create engaging training concepts, themes, graphics, and interactions for instructor-led and web-based training solutions

  • Communicate and interact across all levels of the organization

  • Provide Learning Management System administrative support as it relates to training issues and feedback

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Four years of training-related experience
  • Instructional design experience
  • Experience with multimedia design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, SnagIt, Audition, Premiere Pro

  • Experience with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline 3 and Rise required; Adobe Captivate a plus

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and support required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Able to develop instructionally sound learning solutions and testing materials with minimal supervision

  • Able to work independently or with a team on joint projects in a multi-tasking corporate environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and organization skills

  • Previous retail experience a plus  #LI-BP
