HOW TO APPLY
Searching and applying for jobs at AutoZone is easy. Just follow these steps.
STEP 1: Click on the “Find Jobs” page on the AutoZone career site, or look for the search jobs bar on any career site page.
STEP 2: You can search all jobs, or refine your search a variety of ways:
- by keyword, category, job type, location, business or requisition number
- by zip code or state
- by commute time
Step 3: Click to view your results
Step 4: Review your results list and click on any job title to see the job requirements.
STEP 5: Click “Apply Now” for any job of interest.
- You will be prompted to create a username and password. If you already have applied with us before, use your previous username and password.
- If you forgot your username or password, follow the prompts on the screen.
- Follow the step-by-step instructions to complete your application. You will be guided through each step and must complete all required fields in order to successfully complete your application.

The hiring process varies by job and department. Depending on the role and location, you could get a same-day offer, or the process could take several weeks. Please speak to the store manager or recruiter for more details on the process for the role you are interested in.
Yes, we encourage you to explore different career areas that fit your qualifications and interest. We ask that you apply for roles where you meet all the minimum or required qualifications on the listing.
From careers.autozone.com click on the red LOGIN button in the top right corner. Pick Returning User in the drop down menu. You will be taken to our Applicant Tracking System sign-in page. Log in with your username and password. If you don’t recall your username or password, click on the “Forgot your username/password?” prompt and follow the instructions.
If you have a resume ready to upload or will apply using your LinkedIn or Indeed profile, this can take as little as five minutes. If you are manually inputting your background, experience, education and skills, the process will take a little longer; however, it shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes. Either way you apply, please make sure you include as much detail about your education, experience and skills as you can to ensure the recruiter can effectively match you to the requirements of a position.
If you are a current AutoZoner, click on the LOGIN button in the top right corner. Pick Current AutoZoner in the drop down menu. This will direct you to enter your Ignition ID and password and enable you to search and apply for jobs on the Internal Career Site.
In the United States, all job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of our pre-employment screening process, which includes a background check and in some instances a drug test or motor vehicle record report. Here are a few tips to help identify fraudulent job postings:
- Unsolicited offer
If an offer is from a company that you’ve neither heard of nor applied to, and isn’t linked to a clearly credible recruiter, it’s probably a scam
- Poor punctuation and grammar
Job postings may not always be perfect, but they should still read as professional documents and outreach. If it reads like it came from a robot without knowledge of correct capitalization or spelling, chances are, it’s a scam.
- Too good to be true
Job offer scams often include tempting but unlikely offers like “No experience or interview necessary! Work 4-8 hours weekly and get paid $5,000.” Look for clear and sensible guidelines on experience, requirements, and benefits. Additionally, most employers won’t request to set up direct deposit, ask for banking information, or offer to begin paying an applicant before being hired or beginning work.
- No interview necessary
Request in-person or video interviews for a stronger sense of who is offering the opportunity and look for company email addresses or affiliated phone numbers in meeting outreach. And if in doubt? Check the company’s website and affiliated social media, such as LinkedIn, for more information.
- What to do if you think you are a victim of job fraud
If you see suspicious activity or believe that you have been the victim of a job posting scam, you should report it to your local FBI field office or to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center.
