Commercial Escrow Manager

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This managing position will lead a team of AutoZoners responsible for providing title and escrow support to Store Development in a variety of multi-state commercial real estate transactions. This position requires someone who has strong leadership skills, with a focus on team building and promoting a positive work environment.  The ideal candidate will bring expertise in real estate transactions, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.    

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the Commercial Escrow team, including recruiting, training, coaching and performance evaluation to ensure a high-performing, customer-focused team.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Escrow team and manage team workflows to optimize productivity.
  • Proactive recognition and resolution of escrow-related issues that have the potential to delay store openings.
  • Reviews title work and surveys for issues that may affect the use and development of a potential AutoZone locations.
  • Abstracts commercial real estate contracts for date management and other important items to track during the store development process.
  • Responsible for partnering with Finance to ensure payment of earnest money, extension fees, wires for closings, etc.
  • Coordinates real estate closings.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in commercial real estate title/escrow services required
  • Minimum of three (3) years management or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and mastery of Microsoft Office.

The ideal candidate must be proactive, organized, detail-oriented and highly collaborative; have polished verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage workload in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
