Job Description

SUMMARY

AutoZone’s Real Estate Attorney provides legal support from the AutoZone Store Support Center. The Real Estate Attorney oversees the legal aspects of real estate transactions. They prepare and review legal documents relating to real estate, negotiate the terms and conditions of real estate transactions, and facilitate the transfer of titles.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Drafts and negotiates contracts and other ancillary documents for transactions involving the acquisition and lease of commercial real estate property.
  • Actively participates in resolving legal matters that arise during all phases of the commercial real estate  development process, including, but not limited to, due diligence, permitting/entitlements, and construction.
  • Provides trustworthy advice to Store Development Team and helps to evaluate and assess risk in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Works closely with the Commercial Escrow Team to address title issues and assist in the closing of  commercial transactions. 
  • Contributes to overall sales objectives by enhancing and facilitating the opening of new stores in a manner consistent with corporate plan

REQUIREMENTS

  • Juris Doctor Degree and 1-3 years’ experience of practicing law in Commercial Real Estate and Contracts
  • Licensed member of a state bar
  • Strong experience meeting deadlines and handling a multi-project workload
